We are pleased to recognize the impressive achievements of Partner Samuel Mann. Last week, on the first day of jury selection, Sam achieved a complete dismissal of his clients from a construction defect case. The devastating knockout to plaintiff’s case came after a successful 402 hearing and pre-trial motions in limine. Sam convinced the plaintiff that there was no: viable path forward. The case had been pending for nearly five years, but when Sam got involved right before trial, his tenacious advocacy brought an abrupt end to the plaintiff’s case. Outstanding work, Sam!

Construction Litigation

Jim Orland of Orland Law Group (OLG) represented a subcontractor in a construction defect lawsuit brought by a general contractor.  The parties also had mutual claims for breach of contract. At trial, OLG successfully obtained a defense verdict as to the general contractor’s claims for defects and breach of contract. The jury also awarded the subcontractor client for its affirmative contract claims in the amount of $297,415.
